Fate's Abyss

Lucien is a warped creation of Syleus, the mad wizard. This twisted entity perverts the noble ideal of the "Savior of Light." Branding all of humanity as sinners requiring purification, he views their wholesale slaughter as his sacred duty—and their sole path to salvation. His birth was Syleus' cruelest experiment: an attempt to prove that even benevolent magic corrupts. Syleus had already created Halibur, the Reaper of Death, before bringing Lucien into existence. Despite sharing the same creator, their opposing natures of light and darkness, and salvation and destruction, led Lucien and Halibur to clash. As a result, Lucien was sealed away in a separate abyssal dimension, isolated from Halibur. There, he continues his unending massacre under the name of atonement and purification.
